What To Expect
Morning transfer
You should be on the meeting point – the dive-center of Diving Indo company – at a scheduled time.
If you have booked morning transfer, then it arrives at you hotel or villa at a scheduled time. You should wait the driver at the reception of the hotel or in front of the villa.
Transfer takes you to the northeast of Bali. You will go along rice terraces and wild beaches with black volcanic sand. Also a wonderful view on Mount Agung reveals on the road.
Diving
- In the dive center, an English-speaking instructor will tell you how to behave underwater, as well as give basic safety rules. PADI’s Open Water Diver materials cover everything you need to know about basic scuba diving skills, terminology and safety procedures. This part of the course can be completed online via e-Learning.
The training course lasts 3 days. You will have 1 dive in the swimming pool, 4 dives (two dives per day) in open water and exam in the end of the course. - First day of diving will take place in the pool at a depth of 3 -3.5 m.
- If you are not ready for the first dive in the ocean, the instructor will conduct a trial lesson in the pool and work out the basic techniques and techniques with you. During diving, each participant is accompanied by an individual instructor.
- The duration of one dive per day is about 25-30 minutes. After that, you can relax in a cafe and exchange impressions with other participants. For lunch you will be offered light snacks, tea or coffee, fruits.
- On the second day it’s time for your first underwater experience on a real dive site. Review your skills learnt on the previous day and take time to explore the ocean! Your instructor will take you to a dive site (Padang Bai/Blue Lagoon) that is not only safe and easy but also bursting with marine life. You will have 2 dives in open water, the duration of each dive is about 25-30 minutes.
- On the third day two more dive sites and two more dives down to a maximum of 18m in Tulamben and you will be a fully qualified Open Water scuba diver. With minimal time spent on skills, the main focus of these two dives is fun, exploring the ocean and discovering the exciting marine life that lies below the sea.
- After four dives you must pass an exam to validate your OWD certification.

Return transfer
If you have booked return transfer, you should go to the parking area of the dive-center. The driver waits for you there. Transfer takes you back to the hotel or villa. The time of arrival depends on traffic and your hotel or villa location.
Important:
- you only can dive in case you don’t have any serious medical problems;
- after diving it’s forbidden to fly airplanes or to climb in the mountains.
